Filed by Spartan Fire, LLC. Component: Fuel System, Diesel. Reported 2021-05-06. An estimated 1,447 vehicles are affected. Recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer.
Defect
Spartan Fire, LLC is recalling certain 2017-2020 Gladiator and MetroStar vehicles. The sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot bore holes, allowing the high pressure fuel rail assembly to leak.
Risk
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
What the manufacturer will do
Dealers will inspect the rail threads and fuel lines, and replace the rail as necessary, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a schedule for recall notification. Owners may contact Spartan Fire customer service at 1-517-543-6400.
