Defect

General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2022 BrightDrop EV600 vehicles. The front-drive unit may leak oil and cause an engine compartment fire.

Consequence

A fire increases the risk of injury.

Remedy

GM will replace the vehicles, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 24, 2024. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-888-988-7267. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM 22V771000 2022-10-13 797 affected
Defect

General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2022 BrightDrop EV600 and 2022-2023 GMC Hummer EV Pickup electric vehicles. The high voltage battery pack enclosure may not be properly sealed, allowing water to enter the pack.

Consequence

Water accumulation in the high voltage battery pack can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters were mailed April 13, 2023. Second letters will be sent once the remedy is available.
