Defect
CERTAIN TOWABLE TRAVEL TRAILERS WERE BUILT WITHOUT A BEDROOM EMERGENCY EGRESS WINDOW.
Consequence
IN THE EVENT OF A FIRE OR OTHER EMERGENCY, PERSONS IN THE FRONT BEDROOM AREA MUST EXIT THROUGH THE ACCESS DOOR. IF THE ACCESS DOOR IS BLOCKED, THERE IS NO WAY OUT OF THE TRAILER, INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURIES TO THE TRAILER OCCUPANTS.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE CURRENT SLIDING WINDOW WITH AN EMERGENCY EGRESS EXIT WINDOW FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MAY 27, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FLEETWOOD FOLDING TRAILER AT 1-814-445-9661.
