SPLINED SHAFT IN FIXED STEERING COLUMN IS TOO SHORT, CAUSING THE HUB OF THE STEERING WHEEL TO NOT FULLY SEAT IN THE TAPER.

Consequence

IF THE RETAINING NUT IS IMPROPERLY TORQUED, STEERING WHEEL CAN COME LOOSE AND STEERING CONTROL WOULD BE LOST AND COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.

Remedy

REPLACE STEERING COLUMN.
