Consequence

A vehicle fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury.

Remedy

This recall is replaced by NHTSA recall number 25V741. Vehicles already repaired under this recall will need to have the new remedy completed. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles equipped with 2.0L PHEV engines. The engine may shut down due to a loss of communication between the transmission control module and the hybrid control processor.

Consequence

An engine shut down can result in an unexpected loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

Consequence

A loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.

Consequence
