Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2025 G580 vehicles. The incorrect wheel bolts may have been installed during vehicle manufacturing.

Consequence

Incorrect wheel bolts can allow a wheel to loosen or detach from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will replace the wheel bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 24, 2026. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. Consequence

“While driving at around 35mph, the recently-installed rear left snow tire on the car popped off and was propelled several hundred feet down the road. Upon reviewing the recall information of the car, it seems likely the indicent was caused by defective wheel bolts.”
